In 1984, a toolmaker of 20 years saw in the Meadville area, a need for a quality, high-tech hard chrome plating and nickel plating service. Because of the tremendous base of tool & die and plastic injection molding shops in the area, a resource offering special plating capabilities catering to that sector could fill that need.

Thus Electro-Tech was incorporated that same year. The company's goals were to be the best quality plating facility with the shortest lead times available at the most reasonable price possible.
